**A disgraceful website that promotes biased "expert" reviews and silences the people who actually enjoy watching movies. **
The only acceptable use of this monstrosity is to look for movies with a low critic scores here and high audience scores - such movies are guaranteed to be marvelous.
This is not a good site to find movie ratings or movies you should watch.
For movie ratings, I find Metacritic and IMBD much better (or better yet, finding a few critics you respect).
Rotten Tomatoes hides reviews it disagrees with, and sets "expert" reviews at the forefront. These are often political in nature.
For example, the documentary, "Knock Down the House," currently has a rating of 99%, even though the user score is only at 10%, which is abysmal.
Then you can look at Dave Chapell's stand up, "Dave Chappelle: Sticks & Stones," and see it has an "expert" rating of 35% (and this is higher than it used to be, thankfully), and an audience score of 99% (based on over 250,000 ratings/reviews). This happens whenver there is anything political in nature. Frankly, neither score can be trusted, but the "expert" score, far less so, and it is what garnered the attention of more people reviewing the show more positively.
If you go to other review sites like IMBD, Metacritic, MovieLens, etc., you will see the reviews are closer to the audience score.
Rotten Tomatoes is engaging in social engineering. Move ratings should not be propaganda to ensure the continuation of whatever ideology you hold. They should be about rating how subjectively good a show was.
critic score = high and audience score = low translation: movie it hot garbage. critic = low score and audience = high score transtlation: movie is epic
If you are looking for objective, thoughtful reviews don't bother with rotten tomatoes. These "critics" are nothing more than paid shills. The RT user review section is far more accurate for gauging an actual critical film rating than their tomato meter score. You know where rotten tomatoes belong? In the garbage.
