I believe Letterboxd is movie-logging done right.
The website is sleek, the app is constantly being updated, the review system is functional and perfect for starting discussions, the profiles have descriptions, favorite movies and features reviews, the paid accounts have fairly-priced -- but not vital! -- upgrades and, last but not least, the community is engaging, fun and insightful.
My knowledge of movies has improved tenfold since I joined the community more than 3 years ago. Through comments, user lists and favorites, I have discovered interesting titles and shied away from blockbusters.
Letterboxd, to me, is irreplaceable and unique in its approach to movies, and worth investigating if you're unhappy with your current platform or looking to get started in the cinephile life.
