RotorCrypt X information
What is RotorCrypt X?
RotorCrypt X is a native Windows encryption application that combines three completely independent cryptographic layers — all of which must be broken simultaneously for any attack to succeed.
The first layer is a modernized rotor engine inspired by the Enigma machine, extended to 50 rotors and the full Unicode range of 65,536 characters — creating a keyspace 10²¹² times larger than the original. The second layer is AES-256-GCM, the current military and government standard. The third layer uses HKDF-SHA3-256 with Perfect Forward Secrecy — a fresh key is derived for every single message and immediately discarded. There are no stored decryption passwords because there are none to store.
Version 1.8.5 adds password protection with auto-lock after 5 minutes of inactivity. After 10 failed login attempts, the app performs a full factory reset, overwriting all data multiple times using DoD 5220.22-M military standard — recovery is impossible even with professional forensic tools.
Key features:
- Triple-layer hybrid encryption (Rotor + AES-256-GCM + PFS)
- Auto-lock after 5 minutes of inactivity
- Factory reset after 10 failed attempts (DoD 5220.22-M)
- Perfect for USB sticks and external drives
- Works completely offline — no internet, no account, no cloud
- 100% compatible with the Android version
- Available in 10 languages
