  • Lemmy

Lemmy is an open-source, federated link aggregator similar to Reddit and built with Rust. FEATURES - Self hostable, easy to deploy. - Comes with docker. -...

    • Lemmy is active, full of content and open to new users. It's also Open Source and federated (just like Mastodon, Pixelfed or PeerTube), censorship-free (it depends on the instance) and with an open community that will maintain a reasonable debate (also, good moderation in the main instance Guest • Jun 2020 • 5 agrees and 1 disagrees Disagree   Agree
    • Lemmy is Reddit, but better. It's open source, and every instances can be independent OR federated, the moderation is one of the most POWERFUL out of all the federated software (the instance where the content is created can moderate and this will be moderated everywhere, and each instance that federate it can also moderate it for itself. There is just nothing comparable. Guest • Oct 2020 • 1 agrees and 0 disagrees Disagree   Agree
    • Should be higher in the list. One of the only REAL alternatives to Reddit. Others are just other social networks or forums. It is open-source and has very similar features. jujujolyJun 2020 • 1 agrees and 0 disagrees Disagree   Agree
    • Decentralized alternative. Lemmy is faster than Reddit, and just as easy to use. headlinesJul 2020 • 1 agrees and 0 disagrees Disagree   Agree
    • Explicitly made to be very similar to Reddit. It's a link aggragator that is split into communities, just like reddit. The main benefit is that Lemmy is federated across multiple servers, and the main downside is that it's still much less popular. Guest • Jun 2020 Disagree   Agree
    • It's an open-source alternative with very similar features. jujujolyJun 2020 • 1 agrees and 0 disagrees Disagree   Agree

  • 4chan

The infamous anonymous bulletin board where anyone can post messages and share images.

    • tbh i thnk the website is pretty clever likete idea of having a board and also there being no sign up system makes it a mystery if a user is the same person or someone else and tbh its good now the only 2 bad thing is that 1 you can get banned even if you did nothing wrong and 2 theres no sign up system redditSep 2020 • 4 agrees and 0 disagrees Disagree   Agree
    • 4chan is not an alternative to reddit. Reddit is the alternative to 4chan Guest • May 2017 • 34 agrees and 35 disagrees Disagree   Agree

    • Quora is a pro LTTE terrorist site. they have a large number of pro LTTE individuals who attack sri lanka while openly displaying the flag of a banned terrorist organization (banned By both US, and UK). Also when you visit quora from sri lanka, the you are automatically redirected to the tamil language page instead of the english page.
