RealCrypt Alternatives

RealCrypt is described as 'The realcrypt application in the RPM Fusion repo is an encryption application based on truecrypt, freely available at http://www.truecrypt.org/. There are more than 25 alternatives to RealCrypt for a variety of platforms, including Windows, Linux, Mac, Android and iPhone. The best alternative is TrueCrypt, which is both free and Open Source. Other great apps like RealCrypt are LUKS, Windows BitLocker, EncFS and CipherShed.

RealCrypt alternatives are mainly Disk Encryption Tools but may also be Password Managers. Filter by these if you want a narrower list of alternatives or looking for a specific functionality of RealCrypt.

"The development of TrueCrypt was ended in 5/2014 after Microsoft terminated support of Windows XP. Windows 8/7/Vista and later offer integrated support for encrypted disks and virtual disk images."
