EDS/EDS Lite have been discontinued, no updates in 5 years. They've been supposedly replaced by EDS NG which has an aggressive monetization scheme and is also closed-source.

The Google Play store is actually more secure than F-Droid, as long as the app is trustworthy. All of these have been tested as working on GrapheneOS and Android. But remember, the more apps, the higher the attack surface.
