Rapls AI Chatbot is a self-hosted AI chatbot plugin for WordPress that answers visitor questions from your own site's content — not generic web knowledge.

Unlike hosted chatbot services with monthly subscriptions and per-message fees, Rapls runs entirely on your own WordPress site with your own API key (BYOK). You connect OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, or OpenRouter, and pay only your provider's usage — no SaaS fee, no per-conversation charge. Conversation data stays on your server.

It's built around three ideas:

• Grounded answers. With site learning (RAG), the bot indexes your posts and pages and answers from them. A "grounded answers only" mode makes it say "I couldn't find that" instead of inventing an answer when the information isn't on your site — useful for clinics, stores, and any site where a confident wrong answer is worse than no answer.

• Cost control. Per-visitor daily limits and a monthly budget cap (in USD) stop the AI once your set spending limit is reached, so an unexpected bill is never a surprise.

• No lock-in, no vendor. Switch AI providers anytime from the settings screen. Everything runs on your host.

Setup takes about five minutes with no coding and no prior AI knowledge — an onboarding panel walks you through getting a free API key, testing the connection, and going live. A free version is available on the WordPress.org directory; a one-time-purchase Pro plan adds analytics, lead capture, scenarios, operator handoff, WooCommerce and LINE integration, and more.
