The main issue here is that the BitTorrent protocol **offers no privacy at all**. Your IP address will be exposed to scammers and corporate law firms, making you an easy target. The alternative is to use a paid VPN service with port forwarding, but paying for "file-sharing" is simply absurd and totally goes against the principle of P2P; qBittorrent doesn't seem to care, act or fix anything regarding this fundamental question.

Simple, nice UI, the performance is good, the best for normal & advanced users.
Very often, the program will show "Missing Files" when first adding torrents. Making me choose another.

Fast, lightweight, with a nice user interface, and it's available in almost every language.
I would give it more than a five star rating if I could.
It often gets stuck processing torrent so it never appears in the list. I've tried updating and using other versions, but it still happens alot. It's opensource, but its just not working for me. This issue seems to be quite common for some people if you search on the internet, so if you encounter it, odds are you won't be able to fix it. I'm on a Mac now. I can't remember this being a problem on PC.
BiglyBT is a good alternative that is open source and works without hiccups
It works well to download torrents and it contains useful additional features. One of the most useful features is its Search function.
Switching from Bittorrent to qBittorrent was like leaving a toxic waste dump for a nice sunny-day picnic. I wish I'd have made the migration years earlier, but I thought it would be a big hassle. It wasn't.
