What it does:

AI scene generation — generate or improve full scenes with a pipeline that validates structure, scores quality, enforces your canon, and fixes POV/voice/timeline drift before handing you the draft. 14-metric quality scoring — every scene is rated across dimensions like Hook Power, Micro-Tension, Prose Craft, Dialogue, Pacing, and Emotional Impact, so you can see why a passage works or doesn't. Canon enforcement & story codex — keep characters, places, and lore consistent across a whole novel with a codex and relationship web; the AI checks new prose against your established canon. Editorial toolkit — inline Continue / Rewrite / Describe / Tone / Shrink, drift detection, voice checks, POV/pronoun fixes, scene finder with 30+ filters, named versions with word-level diff, and interactive story charts. Multi-voice audiobook — turn finished work into narrated audio with multiple voices (OpenAI, ElevenLabs, Google Cloud TTS). Privacy-first by design: all your books and scenes live locally in your browser (IndexedDB). Optional encrypted backup to Google Drive, OneDrive, or Dropbox is yours to enable — ProseEngine never stores your writing on its servers.

Flexible AI: use Managed AI (prepaid credits, no setup) or bring your own key for OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, or OpenRouter (40+ models).
