What is Plunger?

Plunger is a small, native desktop app for checking one API endpoint: paste a URL or a curl command, press Send, and read the response as a collapsible JSON tree. There is no account, no cloud and no telemetry, and no browser CORS limits, so it reaches localhost and intranet APIs. It imports curl commands and HAR files, supports variables with secrets kept off disk, multipart file uploads, response search, and a local request history. The same exe is also a command-line client and an MCP server, so an AI agent can send requests through it. Open source (MIT). I am the developer.
