Photoscape

Photoscape is in my opinion the best free and most professional photo-editing application, which I know. If I want to select and to move a text object and change the font size in pictures I have best experience with PhotoScape. Beside many other very useful features you can perfectly select, move and manipulate text objects. This and the framing of text fields is a problem for many other free photo-editing software products as Paint.net, Pixlr, Adobe Photoshop Express, GimpShop or IrfanView. My recommendation for this purpose (e.g. commenting of screenshots) and especially for the professional framing and renaming of large series of photos is Photoscape.

This app is a masterpiece. A lot of filters, top-notch fast tunings (for example, HDR, Magic Colour and so on), great interface. I have Windows10 version installed via Microsoft Store. Free version is enough for me, I am not using its Pro edition.

Easy to use, easy to work.

PhotoScape X is the version for Win10 and modern macOS. Very easy to use (in spite of it being a pixel editor like Photoshop). Even the free version does a great job. I won't switch from Lightroom but this app will certainly be part of my workflow when required.

Super app for enhancing and editing images. I like it!

Very disappointed. I paid for the pro version and I thought I could do the same things I did with GIMP but faster because it has a very attractive interface. Instead: 1) really very limited CROP functions not suitable for professional use and 2) minimal layer management with few possibilities to make even complex creations. Dear GIMP expert users (like me) it is a mistake to spend money to buy photoscape X: it is true it has a very nice and easy interface but it is a kind of CANVAS focused on implementing effects on a single photo at a time all here. Unsuitable for complex creations.
