Pensatorium

Capture spoken or typed thoughts with automatic transcription, titles, summaries, action items, questions, and folder filing. Turn natural-language dates into calendar actions, search by meaning, and ask reflections across connected notes, with encrypted storage.

Speak or type a thought and Pensatorium files it by what it's about — or you pick the folder yourself. Any date you mention becomes a scheduled action, shown here on the home screen. Connect your calendar once and they all appear in Google Calendar, Apple Calendar or Outlook too.

What is Pensatorium?

Record a thought by voice or type it. Seconds later it comes back to you titled, summarised, and broken into the things it actually contained: the observations you made, the tasks you committed to, the questions you left open, and the people and places you mentioned. Speak in any language — transcription detects it automatically, and your titles, summaries, tasks and questions come back in the language you spoke. The interface itself is in English.

It files itself. Folders arrive ready on day one, and every thought lands in one without you tagging anything. Create your own folders and describe in plain words what belongs in each — that sentence becomes the filing criterion. When you move a thought somewhere else, the correction is remembered.

Dates become commitments. Mention "before the 30th", "every other Friday at eight", or "the last Friday of term", and it becomes a dated action with the recurrence already set — shown on a month calendar, and available as a private feed link you can add to the calendar app you already use. Every entry keeps the exact words that created it and links back to the thought it came from.

Reflections think with you, not for you. Ask a question in plain language and Pensatorium finds the relevant thoughts itself, including ones that never contain the words you used. Or select thoughts and folders yourself. Reply to any reflection — typed or spoken — to push back or go deeper, and it reasons through your answer instead of restating the question. Highlight any passage to attach a note or link another thought.

It tells you when it doesn't have enough to go on. Before writing, Pensatorium weighs the material it found. When a topic is thin, it says so plainly, stays short, and invites you to come back — rather than inflating one note into a confident analysis. The more you record on a subject, the more there is to connect, and it tells you when that has happened.

Search that follows meaning. Semantic search over vector embeddings, accent-insensitive text search, and natural-language queries, filtered by folder, date, or content type.

Private by design. Everything is encrypted.

Seven days free, no card required. Then €8.99/month for Thinker or €16.99/month for Overthinker.
