What is Partition Magic?
PartitionMagic WAS a computer program for hard disk drive partitioning. The program was running on Microsoft Windows operating systems before Vista or from a bootable CD-ROM and enabled creation and modification of partitions. Existing partitions could be resized without loss of data.
The latest stable release was on May 5th, 2004. On December 8th, 2009 Symantec removed Partition Magic from their website and added this statement: "Dear Customers, Thank you for your interest in Norton Partition Magic. Due to changing consumer usage trends and Symantec’s desire to offer the highest quality and most innovative solutions for the latest operating systems, Symantec has discontinued Norton Partition Magic 8.0."

ab1added Partition Magic as alternative(s) to GNOME Disks
I'd recommend trying to find other programs since Symantec's Partition Magic not only works much slower, but also can seriously screw up your data (which happened in my case). At least try to make some backups (on external HDDs, DVDs or on a cloud, not on the same disk that you're about to start working on) before giving this a go.
MiniTool Partition Wizard (Pro Edition 7.5.0.1) can be a nice alternative, I think. At least it worked much easier and faster in my case.
