macOS Dashboard Alternatives

macOS Dashboard is described as 'Dashboard is an application for Apples Mac OS X operating systems, used for hosting mini-applications known as widgets. First introduced in Tiger, it is a semi-transparent layer that is invisible to the user unless activated by clicking its icon in the Dock'. There are six alternatives to macOS Dashboard for a variety of platforms, including Windows, Linux, Android, Android Tablet and BSD. The best alternative is XWidget, which is free. Other great apps like macOS Dashboard are KDE Plasma Workspaces (Free, Open Source), AveDesk (Free), Amnesty Generator (Free, Open Source) and myBoard (Free, Open Source).
