OmegaSolver is a free, open-source (GPLv3) GUI suite for Windows diagnosis, maintenance and optimization, written entirely in PowerShell with a WPF interface and compiled to a standalone .exe with PS12EXE.
It was built around one core principle: no system change should be irreversible. Before modifying power plans, QoS settings, system services or performing deep cleaning routines, OmegaSolver saves the previous state to a reversal file — and a one-click "Revert changes" button restores it. Defragmentation is automatically blocked on SSDs to prevent unnecessary wear.
The suite offers two interfaces in a single app:
• Basic Mode — a clean 2-column layout with clear, safe actions for everyday users: 1-click cleanup, temp file removal, and plain-language explanations. Every critical action requires confirmation.
• Advanced Mode — a 3-column technical layout with direct access to SFC, DISM and CHKDSK, restore point creation, startup program management, Windows update analysis, obsolete driver cleanup, locked file handling (takeown/icacls), and network tools including DNS cache flushing, QoS tweaks and file sharing over SMB (Robocopy) and FTP.
Additional features:
• Multilingual interface in Spanish, English and Portuguese, switchable without restart
• Built-in user manual explaining every tool at two levels — friendly (BAS) and technical (TEC) — in all three languages
• An integrated app store powered by winget
• Low-resource mode for older PCs
• Restore point creation before risky operations
• 100% offline and privacy-first: no telemetry, no accounts, no servers (the only network call is an optional update check against GitHub Releases)
• Available on winget, with the full source code published on GitHub under GPLv3
Designed as an open, auditable successor to discontinued tools like Dism++, OmegaSolver targets both users who have never opened a terminal and technicians who maintain Windows machines daily.
