I don't recommend Neo4j. I won't comment on the software itself but on how unprofessional and immature this company is. I used Neo4j alongside PHP. It was supported thanks to the community. Until the day developers decided to upgrade Bolt (I think) despite knowing it would have consequences. It broke all PHP drivers. What was needed was documentation relatively to the new version. They didn't provide it despite the demands. For months, it became impossible to update Neo4j. I don't like not having access to security updates so I finally decided to drop the software when everybody lost hope about having a working PHP driver again, losing MONTHS of work, forced as I was to fall back on a more reliable RDBMS. If you are not a paying customer, they will treat you like dirt. Be sure to have a language with full support, used by many paying customers, or accept the possibility to not be able to use Neo4j when they decide to break the access for you.
