NeatNotes is a free, native Windows note-taking app built around an infinite canvas — no page boundaries, no cloud account, no subscription. Everything runs locally using WinUI 3 and Win2D for ultra-low latency inking that feels as close to pen on paper as Windows gets.

HANDWRITING & INK Full pressure-sensitive inking for S Pen, Surface Pen, and any Windows Ink stylus. Accurate pen-vs-touch differentiation so your palm never marks the canvas. S Pen barrel button opens a QuickSelection arc menu.

HANDWRITING TO TEXT Lasso handwritten text and convert it instantly. Choose from 13 handwriting-style fonts so converted text still looks natural. Spatial OCR lets you handwrite directly over smart checklists in real time.

MATH SOLVER Handwrite any equation, lasso it, tap Solve. Local math engine — no internet required. 2D equation graphing supported.

OBSIDIAN VAULT MIRROR Bi-directional sync with Obsidian. Notes are always saved as native .md files on your filesystem. Edit in NeatNotes, see it in Obsidian. Edit in Obsidian, see it in NeatNotes. No plugin required.
