What is Mneme HQ?
Mneme HQ is an architectural governance layer for AI-assisted software development. It enforces architectural decisions, dependency policies, and coding standards before AI coding assistants like Claude Code, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot generate code.
Unlike code review tools (CodeRabbit, Graphite) that catch issues after code is written, Mneme operates pre-generation — injecting structured constraints at the hook level before the AI writes a file.
Key features:
- Structured ADR (Architecture Decision Record) storage with scope and precedence
- Deterministic retrieval of relevant constraints per file/module being generated
- Hook-level enforcement that blocks violations before code is written
- Works with Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI
- Open source core with CLI and MCP server
Built for engineering teams running AI-assisted development at scale, where CLAUDE.md instruction files no longer enforce architectural integrity reliably.
