What is Norma?
Norma is an AI code governance tool for developers using coding agents. It connects to MCP-capable editors such as Cursor, Claude Code, Windsurf, Replit, Lovable and VS Code, and serves an organization's rules to the agent while code is being written. Connecting a GitHub or Bitbucket repository adds a full deterministic audit, with automatic detection of the stack and frameworks.
Checks are rule-based rather than model-based, so the same file returns the same result on every run. Findings come with the context needed to fix them. A Production-Ready Score and an AI Authorship Ratio show how far a codebase is from the standard and how much of it was machine-written, and a badge can be embedded in a README that expires by itself if the code stops meeting the standard.
Coverage includes JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, PHP, Java, Node, React and Supabase, with rules grounded in SOLID design principles and per-stack conventions. Rules that do not fit a given context can be switched off.
The free tier is permanent and covers one developer, one workspace and one repository. Paid tiers add more repositories, more scans and compliance rule packs.
