Comments about draw.io as an Alternative to Miro
Top Positive CommentTop Negative Commentkuchengrabnot a whiteboard app to collaborate online, but a diagram drawing tool
Most Recent CommentEpicLPerWhile it isn't the same as Miro (and tbh no other tool comes as close to what Miro does so far) but it's a good "start" which is fully free. Collaboration via Google Drive/Workspace works fine, but again not a proper Miro replacement but the best we got so far.

Comments about Excalidraw as an Alternative to Miro
Top Positive CommentOleg LavrovskyTakes security seriously, sleek and minimal design, a delightful product that does exactly what it promises to do.
Most Recent CommentBarnMTBIncredible alternative, works very well. It even saves whiteboard as a local file.
But unfortunately if you like the convenience of auto-saves, or storing the files "inside the app itself" so that next time you can just launch the app & select the thumbnail in a couple of clicks without needing to touch File Explorer (like Miro), you're going to need the Excalidraw+ subscription; which has a pricing that is just overkill for personal/hobbyist use.
