Every bit as quick to use as MapPoint was in its heyday, but up-to-date and with many, many more features! Great for logistics analysis (my area) - it is really helpful with network design tasks - which sites are best using the facility location tool which calculates road-based 'centres of gravity', allocating volume to different depots... And great for marketing and general geographic analysis - visualising your data, seeing where the customer hotspots are etc.

Obviously with MapPoint discontinued in 2014, a true comparison should not be made. I started using Maptitude in 2014 and today, it is still my favourite GIS package. Why? It continues to deliver excellence, yearly updates and add-ins that improve and increase the use cases. Outstanding built in help with examples. Questions to their support people are answered instantly. In 2022 Balanced Territories and Clustering were among the new features. Online web sharing is possible too.

Because it is of a similar price point and provides most of the features MapPoint did. Use it for sales territory mapping, market analysis, customer visualizations, sales planning and optimized routing. No other map service listed here provides the advanced tools MBO does for less.
