What is MetronHR?

MetronHR is a web-based HR application for small and medium-sized businesses. It combines time tracking, absence management, shift and staff scheduling, and digital employee records in one system.

Employees clock in and out via the web app, the iOS and Android app, or a wall-mounted terminal with an RFID/NFC badge. The terminal buffers entries while offline and submits them once the connection returns. No biometric data is read and no location history is recorded. Break and rest-period rules of the German Working Hours Act are checked automatically, and every change to a time entry is logged.

Scheduling covers both shift plans and a finer time-grid roster with staffing rules and qualification requirements. Additional modules include overtime accounts with payout or time off in lieu, project and customer time budgets, evaluations, and Excel and CSV exports.

MetronHR is developed and operated by AMNAU GmbH in Hanover, Germany. Data is stored in German data centres. The interface is available in German and English. Pricing starts at 5 EUR per user and month; there is no free plan, but a 14-day trial without a credit card.
