Comments about Beyond Compare as an Alternative to Meld
It's one of the most polished and featurefull diff tool, you can do both file and folder diffing, I think there was also a 3 way diff functionality.
For what it does, it's the best I've used. I regularly synchronize my NAS with copies of this repo on other drives and this involves ~1.7 million files in ~184k folders. It takes about a minute to perform the initial search through all this.
The user interface is very intuitive and easy to understand how to accomplish the task. And it provides many different tools to handle almost anything you might need to do.
Well worth the asking price which is quite affordable.
Only good in my opinion, that I can load it in App Store. First impression was that I can only compare folders, not files.
Much more configurable than any other alternatives. Faster to compare large directories. Brilliant color coded illustration of differences. Affordable pricing, even for personal use.
