Maillayer information
What is Maillayer?
MailLayer is a powerful email marketing platform that you can self-host on your own VPS (Virtual Private Server),
Amazon Simple Email Service account. It allows you to create, send, and track email campaigns without any monthly subscription fees.
📦 Self-hosted 🏷? Unlimited brands 📇 Unlimited contacts 📢 Unlimited campaigns 📊 Email & campaign analytics 🔗 Transactional email API
- Lifetime updates
All plans require an Amazon Web Services account for sending emails via
Amazon Simple Email Service at ~$0.10 per 1,000 emails. No refunds as you receive full code access.
How is Maillayer different from other email services? Unlike most email marketing services that charge monthly fees based on your subscriber count, Maillayer is a one-time purchase. You host it on your own server and only pay for what you send through Amazon SES.
Do I need technical knowledge to use Maillayer? Basic server management skills are helpful for the initial setup, but we provide detailed documentation to guide you through the process. Once installed, Maillayer is user-friendly and easy to use.
What are the server requirements? Maillayer is built with NextJS and MongoDB, and can run on most modern servers. We recommend a server with at least 1GB of RAM for optimal performance.
How do I connect Maillayer to Amazon SES? During the setup process, you'll need to enter your Amazon SES API credentials. Our documentation provides step-by-step instructions on how to generate these credentials in your AWS account.
Is there a limit to how many emails I can send? Maillayer itself doesn't impose any limits. Your sending capacity will be determined by your Amazon SES limits, which start at 10,000 emails per day for new accounts and can be increased.
