LTspice Alternatives

LTspice is described as 'IV is a high performance Spice III simulator, schematic capture and waveform viewer with enhancements and models for easing the simulation of switching regulators' and is a circuit simulator in the education & reference category. There are more than 25 alternatives to LTspice for a variety of platforms, including Windows, Linux, Mac, Online / Web-based and Android. The best alternative is QUCS, which is both free and Open Source. Other great apps like LTspice are Circuit JS, OpenModelica, Xcos and iCircuit.

LTspice alternatives are mainly Circuit Simulators but may also be Electronic Design Automation Tools or CAD Software. Filter by these if you want a narrower list of alternatives or looking for a specific functionality of LTspice.

Some users think Circuit JS is a great alternative to LTspice, some don't.

CircuitJS does not run Spice (the core circuit simulator used by LTSpice, PSpice, and others). CircuitJS does not have built-in models for manufactured components nor does it allow you to define your own subcircuits. It was never built for commercial circuit design (while LTSpice was).
