What is Loopy.Video?

Loopy is a free, browser-based tool for turning YouTube videos into saved, repeatable sections and organised playlists. Designed around music learning and practice, it also works for language listening, choreography and revisiting tutorials.

Search YouTube directly, choose a video and save multiple named sections on a zoomable timeline. Refine boundaries using draggable handles, exact time inputs or keyboard controls. Sections can overlap, so you can save both a complete verse and a short fill within it.

Build playlists using whole videos or individual sections from different videos, arranged in any order. Set repeats, adjust playback speeds, add pauses and share a link that anyone can open without logging in.

Features include:

• Precise section editing, waveform display and manual slicing. • AI-powered song structure analysis with labelled sections such as intro, verse and chorus. • Beat and downbeat detection, with optional snapping when editing boundaries. • Adjustable playback speed and progressive speed changes. • Audible count-ins or timed silent pauses between repeats. • Collections for organising songs, with songs able to belong to multiple collections. • Timed text notes that appear over the video, with separate notes for songs and playlists. • Horizontal video mirroring for following demonstrations. • Keyboard shortcuts, light and dark themes, and a layout designed for small phone screens.

Your saved songs, sections, collections and playlists are accessible across devices. Waveform capture requires a supported desktop browser; saved waveforms can then be viewed on your phone.

Loopy is completely free, with no paid feature upgrades. An account is required to save your library; shared playlists can be played without one. No software or browser extension is needed.
