Lists & Notes information
What is Lists & Notes?
Lists & Notes is a private, offline alternative to cloud-based note taking apps. Everything runs locally on your Mac — no account, no subscription, no tracking. One-time purchase.
Create to-do lists with checkable items and priority levels. Write notes in a Markdown editor with side-by-side live preview. Organise everything with categories and subcategories. Export finished documents to PDF (with font selection and clean formatting) or Word for sharing.
Optional AI features (using your own Claude or OpenAI key) add grammar and spelling checks, writing improvement, TLDR summaries, and list item suggestions. A version is auto-saved before any AI changes so you can always undo.
Notes are stored as individual Markdown files on your machine. Daily auto-backups (15 rolling) protect against data loss. Full data import and export for backup or migration.
