What is KittyClaw?

KittyClaw is an open-source, self-hosted kanban board that orchestrates Claude Code AI agents as actual team members.

Instead of running AI as a one-off tool, KittyClaw treats agents the same way it treats human members - they appear on the board, get assigned tickets, and operate with full project context.

When you assign a ticket to programmer, an automation engine fires a Claude Code subprocess. The agent reads its SKILL.md (its job description), the ticket, and its memory file - then does the work, moves the card to Review, and updates its memory.

Built with .NET / Blazor Server, SQLite per project, and the Claude Code CLI. Optional local models via Ollama. License: AGPL-3.0 - self-hosted, no account required.

Includes 7 built-in agents (programmer, groomer, qa-tester, producer, committer, code-janitor, evaluator) and lets you define your own with a SKILL.md file. Features scheduled tickets, per-ticket token cost tracking, multi-pipeline boards and concurrency guards.

KittyClaw was built using KittyClaw - agents handled a majority of the implementation tickets.
