What is JTB Batch Change?

JTB Batch Change is a batch-processing tool for AutoCAD that allows users and CAD managers to modify large numbers of drawings using Excel-based spreadsheets. It provides access to AutoCAD’s ActiveX Object Model for applying changes across multiple DWG files without editing each drawing individually.

The application can batch rename layers and other objects, find and replace text, import or update blocks and drawing standards, modify drawing and layer properties, update title block attributes, manage external references, and change properties of specific entities. It can also flatten drawing objects, convert dynamic blocks, run audits and purges, and use formulas to define more specific modification rules.

JTB Batch Change includes dedicated spreadsheets for renaming, find and replace, drawing properties, importing definitions, and editing object properties, with logs showing the results of completed batch operations. It works with AutoCAD and several AutoCAD-based products on Windows and requires Microsoft Excel.
