With Windows Photo Viewer discontinued by Microsoft in Windows 10 and the standard Photos app being useless, this is now my standard image viewer. It's fast and minimalistic, even some very basic editing capabilities. I'd recommend to dig through the configuration file to adapt it to your needs (like bigger buttons).

As in the title, this viewer is small and fast, and have a really minimalist interface so you can enjoy your pictures in full screen, while keeping a lot of options. The color/contrast corrections functions are advanced, the rotation tool is very neat, the visualisation is way faster than the Windows 10 pictures viewer, and you also get an automated picture correction tool that function actually really well. I have try many viewer as I make a lot of pictures, and I have to say i believe I have finally find "THE" one.

Lightweight with fast loading times but still feels sluggish with files bigger than 10mb. Love the lack of a bezel especially when zooming, perfect for reading book scans and comics. Wish display order preferences didn't rest after closing.

The minimalist approach seems to have harmed the feature set somewhat, there's a lot to be missed from IrfanView. But the advantages are significant too - load times are fast, the zoom function is implemented nicely and doesn't introduce slowdowns even with high quality resampling.
