What is Journée?
A simplified, RedNotebook-type journal/diary app. With a focus on minimal design and a distraction free writing environment. Makes a folder full of dated text files that are easy to access even without the journal program.
Other diary software keeps your diary in some unique format which makes difficult to read or access when the software is gone. People are stuck with their particular journal system, or have to struggle with tricky imports/exports.
Journee keeps your memories in the most universally accessible way possible: a folder full of (ISO 8601 format) dated text files.
Journee is built with modern web technologies using Electon and Bootstrap, so you will have a nice, clean, distraction-free interface on any device.

Comments and Reviews
I really do like its simplicity and clean UI. There are just 3 design elements you can interact with: text area, calendar, and search. Text area supports plain-text notes (no Markdown) that are saved when switching to a new date or using
Ctrl+Shotkey. The output format for notes is .txt, which means that you can read them on any device without getting stuck with a particular journal system (with their own unique notes format). Furthermore, .txt format makes import a not required feature, as you can create notes in your favorite text editor and Journee will add them to its calendar by highlighting the corresponding date. Search is not instant but works great. The only thing that is missing but may be useful is encryption or password protection.
