ip·Solis information
What is ip·Solis?
ip·Solis is a self-hosted IT Self-Service and IT Asset Lifecycle Management platform for organisations that want to give end users a clean request portal while keeping IT in control of approvals and provisioning — without sending any data to a vendor cloud.
End users order what they need — a VDI, an application, a license, a piece of hardware or any other catalog item — through a self-service portal. Each request runs through configurable approval workflows, and once approved, ip·Solis executes the actual provisioning via PowerShell runbooks: creating accounts, assigning VDI resources (XenServer/XCP-ng and VMware vSphere), granting application access or updating asset records.
The platform covers the full lifecycle from request and approval to assignment, tracking and decommissioning, so every asset stays auditable from cradle to grave.
ip·Solis fits into existing identity landscapes: it federates with any standards-compliant OpenID Connect (OIDC) identity provider — Entra ID, Okta, Ping, Google, Keycloak and others — and additionally supports on-prem AD/LDAP login. Automated offboarding is driven by HR webhooks (Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, Microsoft Graph) and a SCIM 2.0 endpoint. It runs entirely on your own infrastructure via Docker Compose, with no telemetry.
Positioned as a lean, self-hosted alternative to heavyweight suites like Ivanti and ServiceNow, ip·Solis focuses on the IT self-service and asset lifecycle use case instead of trying to be an all-in-one ITSM monolith.
