Httrack if for download of entire web pages. wget is to download individual files, only with deep command line knowledge will be able to download complete web page

tl;dr Wget is the wrong tool for the job which HTTrack fulfils.

Wget is only to download single files. HTTrack has rudimentary the same behaviour like a web browser. HTTrack parses the HTML-files of the given URLs and fetches all the assets (pictures, javascript etc) used by the HTML files.
