What is Harbor Notes?
Harbor is a private, cross-platform second brain for everything you want to keep for life: notes, scanned mail and documents, PDFs, receipts, web clips, photos, and meeting recordings.
Everything you put in becomes searchable with deep OCR — including text inside images, PDFs, and handwriting. Native apps for Mac, Windows, iPhone, iPad, and Android (no Electron), plus a full web app, a CLI, and an MCP server so you can connect your own AI (ChatGPT or Claude) instead of having one forced on you. Your notes never train anyone's models.
Switching from Evernote takes one step: import your ENEX files and your notebooks, tags, checklists, and attachments survive. Optional per-note end-to-end encryption is there for the things that need it. Email-to-notes, a web clipper, document scanning, templates, tasks, note version history, and watched folders round it out.
Harbor is built by Cloudmanic Labs, a self-funded software company that has been shipping products for more than twenty years, and it comes with a written price promise: no price increases for your first three years, then capped at 10% per year. Free plan to start.
