An excellent friendly MMORPG that respects your time and wallet. I can't believe how cheap 10 years+ of content is during sales. The progress feels good, and you are never left behind. You can start playing the game again years later and your equipment is still as good as it was! The way the progression is done is smart. You are in for a very good time! Base game is free, so you don't have to drop a penny before deciding if it's worth buying more content.

Guild Wars information
What is Guild Wars?
Guild Wars is an online role-playing game series, noted for being the "first major MMO to adopt a business model not based on monthly subscription fees".
In a world torn by conflict, where human kingdoms are all but destroyed and guilds sacrifice all for a chance to control the Hall of Heroes, a champion must rise from the ruins of a once-proud land to lead refugees from the ashes and fulfill an ancient prophecy.
Note: "Starting February 18, (2021) we will be discontinuing support for the Mac OS version of Guild Wars 2. This means the Mac client will no longer work after this date."
The game series includes:
Guild Wars, Guild Wars 2, Guild Wars Nightfall, Guild Wars Eye of the North, Guild Wars Factions

GW1, love it. Original servers still live and is an excellent throwback to the look/feel of MMOs of the era. Active and knowledgeable community. CashShop cosmetic items all make sense in universe and don't break the fantasy immersion. Gw2... Less love. Community is "surface level friendly", very toxic once you scratch certain social topics which many guilds base their entire ethos around. Many CashShop cosmetics and skins do very much break the immersion.
