What is Grayjay?
Grayjay is a multi-streaming client supporting platforms like YouTube and
Twitch , compatible with Windows, Mac, Linux, and Android. It decentralizes content delivery, focusing on content creators rather than platforms. Grayjay provides a universal feed to view various content, allows data import, and offers a range of playback options including Picture-In-Picture and background play. It also supports offline video downloads for unreliable internet situations or bandwidth conservation. Users can customize their viewing experience, choosing preferred platforms and enabling or disabling specific features.
The software supports a mix of paid and unpaid content and offline subscriptions:
YouTube,
Odysee,
Rumble,
Patreon, PeerTube,
Dailymotion,
Bilibili, Twitch,
Kick,
Nebula by Standard,
SoundCloud
Grayjay also provides tools for content management and organization, including offline playlists and history of watched content. It supports casting to different devices, including TV or desktop, through its open-source receiver, FCast, and Chromecast for Android TV.

Comments and Reviews
For combining multiple video platform in one app.
Great YT replacement for Android and PC with multi-source and polycentric independent comments, likes, and notifications.
This must be the first open source video client where I can sync with my devices. Anything else works great!
use it to watch youtube vids on my phone Works great!
Currently, it does not have light mode and picture-in-picture mode.
Being able to combine my feeds off several multimedia platforms is extremely convenient. If you don't want to log in to those services you can simply build a new subscription list including your favorite influencers from any of those platforms.
Currently, there is no true alternative to GrayJay though I hope there will be in the future. Competition is always helpful
BOOOOOOOOO!!!!
" you were supposed to be the chosen one! "
This app was supposed to bring a change to the online video platform world and freedom of speech but they've been found out to use AI to filter out "hate speech". So sad! :(
They don't filter out anything. Use your source settings to toggle if you want the age restricted materials or not. It has to interact with media platforms, meaning it has to tell the media platforms which of their own toggles to have set for visibility.
