Google Sheets is described as 'Cloud-based spreadsheet editor for real-time collaboration, chart creation, formula support, export options, access controls, and Drive integration' and is a very popular Spreadsheet app in the office & productivity category. There are more than 100 alternatives to Google Sheets for a variety of platforms, including Web-based, Windows, SaaS, Mac and Linux apps. The best Google Sheets alternative is LibreOffice, which is both free and Open Source. Other great apps like Google Sheets are ONLYOFFICE, LibreOffice - Calc, Microsoft Excel and CryptPad.
Possibly the best if you have linux or WSL. Google sheets has a few useful features but for an offline alternative to libreoffice, it's about neck and neck for me though I like how gnumeric is it's own standalone program.
