SearXNG vs Google Search Comments
SearXNG is a Meta Search Engine that you can configure to run locally, it's free and open source! Highly configurable, as there are so many instances of it that can be used ready made (Garuda Linux has one they offer). Using Podman Desktop or Docker, you can do it yourself fairly easily, the instructions are out there for that very purpose. You can even access Tor through SearXNG for added privacy.
- SearXNG is Free and Open Source
- SearXNG is Decentralized, Privacy focused and Lightweight

Works without javascript. One just have to find a good instance and tune it a bit. All instances have occasional outages but then you can blame google (again!)...
