    • It is free and works on Linux while Fusion 360 is susceptible to license changes at any time.     • FreeCad has been my go to since I left school, and the free student demo of solid works, as there are many packages you can add on to make it more customization. In my opinion, FreeCAD vs Solidworks is like Windows vs Linux, SW polished early with money, but given time, FreeCAD can find a huge market and be a serious competitor.
