What is FocusTube?

FocusTube is a free and open-source browser extension that removes distracting parts of popular websites without blocking the entire site.

It can block or hide YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, TikTok feeds, Facebook Reels and the LinkedIn feed while leaving useful parts of those websites available.

FocusTube also includes strict, warn and passive blocking modes, along with a built-in focus and break timer.

Everything runs locally in the browser. FocusTube does not use analytics, tracking, user accounts or a remote backend.

It is made for people who still need sites like YouTube or LinkedIn for studying, work or research but want to avoid getting pulled into endless scrolling.
