What is Flipboard?
Flipboard is a fast, beautiful way to flip through the news, photos and updates your friends are sharing on Facebook and Twitter.
- See your social media in a magazine layout that is easy to scan and fun to read.
- Share articles and photos, comment on posts, and like or favorite anything.
- Customize your Flipboard with sections created from your favorite people, lists and blogs on Twitter.
Flipboard is your personal magazine. It is the most popular way to catch up on the news you care about, discover amazing things from around the world, or stay connected to the people closest to you.
When you first launch Flipboard simply pick a few topics to start reading everything from world news to sports, travel and more.
You can also add popular publications, such as
The New York Times or Vanity Fair, or add
Etsy to shop right from Flipboard.
You can find thousands of websites, RSS feeds and interesting sources like Politico and Brain Pickings, or explore magazines being created on Flipboard in “By Our Readers” -- just tap the red ribbon and use the Content Guide to get started.
Flipboard also lets you enjoy all your social networks.
- Add Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr and more to see updates from your social world, all in a beautiful magazine style experience.
- Now the news your friends share is a breeze to flip through -- with headlines and excerpts that give you an immediate glimpse into the world around you.
- Anything you like, comment on or favorite goes right back into your social networks, so you can easily interact and add to the conversation.

Comments and Reviews
Flipboard can be used more like a weekly journal and less like a newspaper. Since Medium has put up a paywall, Flipboard has become my go to place for in depth articles.
Flipboard's logic eludes me. What is the point of having a news aggregator page that you can't personalize? I mean, for real. That is exactly why I want to leave Google News.
The web version doesn't have a dislike button to help me get rid of content I'm not interested in. Only the app has that, but I prefer to read news on the computer rather than on the small phone screen. So I keep getting articles about sports and cooking, even though I didn't follow anything related to these topics. I can still click on the topics I follow and read articles from there, but the main news feed is more or less useless.
Fantastic options allowing you to weed out content you don't care about.
Yet another chunk of crapware installed on my Android phone that I can't get rid of.
It truly allows for a personalized news feed. There is so much content that it never gets boring.
What used to be my favourite place to read news articles and interesting bits has not become relegated to third or fourth place. I feel like the old Flipboard was much better. The recent changes have made it less customizable and the content less curated and more random. The algorithm that is choosing what I see and what I don't see is not really doing the app many favours.
