Nowadays, I see alot of adult type content showing up on Facebook. Honestly this is not good specially for kids who also use the app. Facebook should take action and make the platform more safe, otherwise parents will not feel comfortable letting children use it. Hope they fix this soon.

I quit facebook cause they have repeatedly broken EU privacy laws and are still (after several lawsuits and fines) extracting european users data to the US, where they can do with it as they please (compared to GDPR). They are using their apps to surveil and gather information to know who is connected to who, also people outside of facebook, and they're willing to openly give other companies access to this data like we saw with Cambridge Analytica. They use dark design patterns to make people use more time on their platforms, wasting peoples time with »useful« notifications for every interaction on the site, no matter how un-important it is. I would like platforms like facebook to have respect for their users privacy and time and because of this I can't recommend facebook or Metas platforms to anyone.

Absolutely! It's not just Facebook; Twitter's in the mix too. What I'm witnessing is an ongoing evolution that's still being fine-tuned, yet it's already far beyond both platforms. It's intricate but straightforward, rapidly expanding while remaining accessible, and the community feels genuinely authentic. People engage in meaningful discussions instead of just playing celebrity. There’s a real intellectual vibe within the Minds community. Kudos to Minds—keep pushing forward! AJ JPS

Started silently deleting/filtering-out comments just like on youtube. Again, just like there, no swearing, no insults, even no covid conspiracy theories, and yet it won't let comments through. You spend 15 minutes writing an informative comment, trying to be helpful to somebody, and when you hit "reply" Suckerberg says "nah", and all that effort goes down the drain.

Even the ceo's of Chinese psyop turd Tiktok are courteous enough to inform the user when their comment is removed and for what reason (and if I recall correctly, the comment even stays there, but only visible to its author). But Facebook and youtube — just flip you the bird...
