What is DwgTextTranslator?
DwgTextTranslator is a CAD translation tool for extracting, translating, and reinserting text from AutoCAD drawings. It exports text from individual DWG files or batches of drawings to Microsoft Excel, where translations can be entered manually or processed with CAT tools such as Trados, memoQ, Wordfast, Memsource, Déjà Vu, and CafeTran. The translated text can then be imported back into the original drawings while preserving their graphical formatting.
The software supports AutoCAD text elements, multiline text, proxy entities, Unicode languages, selectable drawing layers, and separate layers for source and translated text. It can also generate PDF copies of drawings, process entire folders in batch mode, combine text lines before export, and adjust text width when translations are longer than the originals. DwgTextTranslator supports AutoCAD 2021–2026 and requires Microsoft Excel 2010 or later.
