What is DirectShare.io?
DirectShare.io is a free, secure and simple website to easily share files between devices without size limit. It's as fast as your network allows it to be and there is no size limit for big files. The transfer is encrypted and happening directly between browsers (P2P), so it's as fast as your network allows it to be.
As files are never stored on a third party server, DirectShare is safer for your data and better for the planet . Moreover, DirectShare doesn't require registration and entirely respect your privacy as no personnal information is ever collected.
You can connect with other users across the world or connect devices easily on the same wifi network. The workflow is simple, doesn’t require any inscription and have no constraint on the file size or the number of files you can share at once.
How does it work ? Click "Send" and add your files. This will generates a 6-character code, a URL and a QRCode that you wan share to the device you want to send the file to. Devices on the same local network are also easily connectable: click receive on the home page and you'll see other devices connected, if any.

A very interesting website to share files directly between computers, with the facility to send a link or QR code. It is important to note that it will depend on the Upload speed of who is uploading and the download speed of who is downloading the file. The file will be sent directly from one machine to the other, so it's important that you don't leave the page and keep the file available.
