Diagrams.so is an AI diagram generator that turns plain-English descriptions or infrastructure code into native draw.io architecture diagrams. It includes 30 icon libraries for AWS, Azure, GCP and Kubernetes, so cloud diagrams come out with the correct shapes and layout. Because output is native .drawio, diagrams stay editable in draw.io with no proprietary lock-in. A developer platform adds a REST API, a Model Context Protocol server with 23 tools for AI agents including Claude Code and Cursor, and Python and TypeScript SDKs, so diagrams can be generated from Terraform, compose files or Kubernetes manifests as part of a pipeline. An architecture warnings engine flags design risks such as single-AZ databases and public exposure, and repairs one finding at a time. Users can also generate from voice, images and documents, fork templates from a community gallery, and export to .drawio and SVG. The free tier includes a starter allotment of credits, watermarked exports and the gallery. Paid plans add more monthly credits, watermark-free and private diagrams, and a one-time credit pack is available for occasional heavier use.
