Detour is a free, open-source SSH client for Windows, macOS and Linux.
It has everything you expect from a daily SSH client: a terminal with tabs, split panes and search, an SFTP file browser, local, remote and SOCKS port forwarding, chains of jump hosts, SOCKS5 and HTTP proxies, snippets, and import from ~/.ssh/config and known_hosts.
What makes it different is how teams share access. A team's hosts, keys and passwords live in a Git repository or a shared folder the team already has (GitHub, GitLab, Syncthing, Dropbox, a network share). Everything is end-to-end encrypted to each member and signed on every change. Access is set per host and per person, and it is enforced by encryption: a member only ever receives the keys for what they may see, so even a modified client gets nothing more. Every client checks that the storage hasn't altered, hidden or rolled back anything.
There is no Detour server and no account. Your personal vault can sync between your own devices the same way, and new devices join with a one-time code.
