  • Listary

With Listary you’ll never have to go through the tedious process of browsing through folders, looking for the right file names and hunting through Windows’ limited menus ever again. Listary puts smart search technology at your fingertips so you can keep working without dealing with cumbersome native Windows navigation. With a lightweight interface that doesn’t bog your system down and strain system resources, Listary puts Windows Explorer on steroids.

    • Listery is small and fast. And it has the feature I wanted most, one that Listery calls Quick Switch. You go to open or save a file, and see the standard File Dialog Box. Click on an open Explorer Window, and then back to the file dialog box. The file dialog is now in the same folder as the Explorer window you clicked on. This is a huge timesaver for me, and the feature I most wanted. Guest • Jun 2018 • 0 agrees and 1 disagrees Disagree   Agree

  • FileBox eXtender

FileBox enhances Windows by adding several advanced functions to the standard Open File and Save File dialog boxes. (Note that if a program uses its own "private" dialog boxes for these functions, you wont see our FileBox buttons, sorry.) FileBox adds two handy buttons to these standard dialogs. These appear on the right side of the Windows dialog box title bars. These buttons appear next to the minimize, restore, and maximize buttons with which you're probably already familiar.

    • Discontinued FileBox eXtender is no longer supported. The binary builds and source code are available for download.

  • FlashFolder

FlashFolder is an open source tool that extends the file-related common dialogs (e.g. open/save dialog) seen in most Windows applications. A small toolbar docks onto these dialogs that provides menus for quick access to recently-used folders, favorite folders and more.

    • Discontinued Only inofficial versions for Win7 up ... buggy and no support from Zett42, developer that seems to be out of office. So pls mark as discontinued - average user will have too many problems.

Access your folders from anywhere Just double click on an empty area located on the Desktop, Explorer or File Open/Save dialog box to bring up a menu. Select a favorite or recent folder from this menu and the file dialog immediately jumps to that folder. If you activate this menu from the desktop or tray icon, this folder will be opened in Windows Explorer.

    • Discontinued An application with last real change in July 12 (quick fix in Dec 12) really seems to be discontinued. The application was well working - but with NO feature update in almost 21/2 years I feel sorry for the 25$ I spent. Many parts of the application need a makeover - the graphics too. The modern logo they present on the product site is only there, the graphics of the app is from last millenium almost. More than 2 years ZERO maintenance - a pity. Please mark this app as discontinued - eventhough Code Sector still sells it. same price. a pity too.
