What is CTRLServers?
CTRLServers is a unified, self-hostable game server management dashboard designed to streamline hosting administration by bringing multiple backend services into a single, fast, and beautifully designed interface. Accessible primarily through ctrlservers.xyz, the platform eliminates the need to constantly switch between different applications by providing a centralized control plane for Pterodactyl panels, direct virtual private servers, and dedicated Minecraft servers. For Pterodactyl integration, the dashboard offers comprehensive API coverage, allowing administrators to seamlessly manage real-time console outputs, complex file operations, MySQL databases, automated schedules, granular subuser permissions, and full backup restorations. Beyond panel management, the platform acts as a powerful tool for direct VPS administration, featuring an interactive browser-based SSH terminal and an intelligent package manager that automatically detects the operating system for one-click installations of essential software.
A standout element of the project is its deep, built-in ecosystem for Minecraft server administration. The platform features a one-click version changer that automatically downloads and installs popular server cores like Paper, Purpur, Spigot, Fabric, and Forge, followed by an automatic server restart. Administrators can also explore a built-in marketplace to search and install modifications and plugins directly from Modrinth without leaving the dashboard. This integration is further enhanced by the custom CTRLManage plugin, which acts as a bridge between the game server and the web interface. Through this plugin, administrators gain access to advanced real-time console streaming, direct file manipulation, and comprehensive in-game player management, making it effortless to handle tasks like inventory viewing, game mode changes, and player moderation directly from the web application.
To tie all these features together, the platform includes a fully featured browser-based SFTP client complete with inline code editing, syntax highlighting, mass file operations, and media previews. Security and convenience are prioritized through an integrated SSH keychain that safely stores credentials locally in the browser, enabling instant connections without repetitive password entries. Additionally, the project includes an integrated donation system, creating a complete, all-in-one ecosystem for server owners and hosting administrators who require powerful, flexible, and centralized management tools.
