Young service, but reliable and looks promising.
Caveat:
desktop app: afaik doesn't currently allow selective syncing.
web app: can't upload a folder, can't move files.

Not free (as in Freedom) - needs a G**gle account to download the .apk, why not F-Droid? Found a website to download the .apk from eventually.
Initial log in and it syncs with G**gle, sh*tFacedbook, etc...
No alternative to allowing access to ALL photos and contact list on the phone, I want to decide who and what I upload to the cloud.
Click on the link to view T&C's, I get the French document. Eventually find the English version, this states that the French version takes precedence (OK, it's a French set up).
Desktop app wants to sync all my files and access to my laptop! This is no better than the established crap!
Next problem, how to delete the account? No facility to do so! Even F*cebook allows this nowadays!
I'm not impressed.

That is a bit over-exaggerated. You need a Google account to install it on Android. Let's face it, 99% of Android users are using it with the official ROM. The service is young, why not helping them understand that pushing their app on FDroid could be a good thing ?
For the sync issues I totally agree. This is a point of improvment if you use the apps on mobile or desktop. I think the desktop app now allows decision on what is or not synced.
About the Terms and Conditions. It is a french based and backed startup. And they are operating under french and EU laws. I think they need some time to translate this document AND have it legally validated. Plus it is super costly to do it! ^^ EU customers are always redirected to T&C in english when it is GB/US startups and it is never translated to over languages (except for big companies). So I'm not sure it really an issue for them to do business.
About the closure of your account: the support team handles it for now. But indeed a "close account" button somewhere would be a nice feature.

Said about Cozy as an alternative
with cozy you can sync more than just files. like contacts and calendars which is more important to me than file sharing.
Positive comment • about 5 years ago • as an alternative to ownCloud
brianlacy Although tailored for families, it offers many of the same features as a typical groupware solution like OwnCloud -- calendaring, group messaging, sharing of files & content, etc.
