What is Collective?
Meet Collective. Clipboard history for your Mac. Done right.
Nearly anything you can copy, Collective will remember.
Text, images, PDFs, movies, URLs, appointments, files: Collective keeps track of whatever you copy.
With a simple key combination (?-Shift-V) Collective appears, allowing you to add nearly anything you previously copied back to the clipboard to be pasted, exactly as you copied it.
Powerful. Precise. Attractive. Thoughtful. Everything you expect from a Mac App.
Features
• Appears on command (?-Shift-V), or can be 'pinned' open so your clipboard history is always available • Supports nearly anything you can copy: text, images, PDFs, movies, URLs, appointments, files • Remembers all formatting, so you can paste an item exactly as you copied it • Application blacklisting, to avoid copying data from sensitive applications such as password managers • Includes a powerful search with application filtering to quickly find and paste previously copied items • Integrates with Quick Look for full-size previews • Saves your clipboard history so it's available if you restart • Can automatically launch when you log in • Fully controllable by keyboard or mouse, and supports drag and drop • Works with applications in Full Screen mode, including the ability to appear on a second monitor • Accessible, with arbitrarily resizable text and Voice Over support
How to Use Collective
When Collective is running, a "C" will appear in the top-right of your menu bar. Pressing ?-Shift-V will show Collective's history of what you have copied (alternatively, you can click the "C" in the menu bar). Clicking on any item will add it back to your clipboard, so you can paste it again.
The app seems to be no longer updated. Last version, 2.0.2, released in April 2014, can be still bought from Mac App Store.
